Aura Pricing 2026: Individual, Couple, Family and Kids Plans

Aura pricing in 2026: Individual $12/mo, Couple $22, Family $32 and Kids $10 on annual billing, what monthly billing adds, and the real cost per adult.

Aura Pricing 2026: Individual, Couple, Family and Kids Plans

Aura costs $12 a month for one adult on annual billing, $22 for a couple, $32 for a family of up to five adults with unlimited kids, and $10 for the Kids plan. Monthly billing raises those to $15, $29, $50 and $13. Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial, and annual plans carry a 60-day money-back guarantee. Prices read on Aura's US pricing page, 19 October 2026.

Our view: Aura's annual Family plan is the best value in its lineup by a wide margin, and its monthly prices are the worst. The cost per protected adult falls from $144 a year on Individual to $76.80 on Family, while choosing monthly billing on Family adds $216 a year for the same coverage. The rest of this page shows where that gap comes from and which plan a given household should buy.

Toolradar data: Aura is listed as an alternative to 8 other tools on Toolradar, the software directory we run, which places it #13 of 36 VPN tools on that measure as of October 2026. Buyers meet it as a security bundle as much as an identity service, which is why this page prices both halves.

How much does each Aura plan cost?

Individual: $12 a month on annual billing

Individual covers one adult on up to 10 devices. It bundles 3-bureau credit monitoring, instant credit lock, home and auto title monitoring, financial transaction alerts, antivirus, a VPN, a password manager and data removal from more than 425 data brokers and people-search sites, a service sold on its own by tools such as Incogni and DeleteMe. Identity theft insurance is $1M, underwritten by American Bankers Insurance Company of Florida.

The plan suits a single adult who wants identity monitoring and device security from one bill. Paying monthly costs $3 more each month, or $36 more across a year.

Couple: $22 a month on annual billing

Couple covers two adults on up to 20 devices with the same feature list as Individual plus Trusted Family Access, and the insurance cap doubles to $2M. At $132 per adult a year on annual billing, it saves each partner a dollar a month against two Individual plans. On monthly billing that saving shrinks to $0.50 a month per adult, so the couple discount is modest either way and matters less than the billing choice.

Family: $32 a month on annual billing

Family covers five adults, unlimited kids and unlimited devices, adds child identity protection, and includes the parental controls and child wellbeing tools from the Kids plan. Insurance reaches $5M. On annual billing this is the cheapest seat Aura sells once three or more adults share it.

The catch is the monthly rate. Family jumps from $32 to $50 a month when billed monthly, a 56% increase and by far the largest gap in the lineup.

Kids: $10 a month on annual billing

Kids is a parental control product, not an identity plan, and it competes with the apps in our parental control ranking. It covers unlimited kids and devices with content filtering, site blocking, screen time limits, Pause the Internet and Safe Gaming by Kidas, which alerts parents to cyberbullying and predators in game chat. It carries no identity theft insurance and no credit monitoring.

Annual vs monthly: what the "Save" badges actually mean

Aura labels its annual prices "Save 50%" on Individual, "Save 54%" on Couple, "Save 60%" on Family and "Save 52%" on Kids. None of those figures matches the gap to Aura's own monthly price. Measured against monthly billing, annual saves 20% on Individual, about 24% on Couple, 36% on Family and about 23% on Kids. The page does not say which reference price the badges use.

That matters because the honest comparison is the one you can buy. If you are choosing between Aura's two billing options, the annual discount is worth $36 a year on Individual, $84 on Couple, $216 on Family and $36 on Kids.

Annual billing also comes with the refund. Aura's 60-day money-back guarantee applies only to annual plans bought on its websites or through customer support, and Amazon purchases are excluded. Monthly plans get the 14-day trial and nothing after it, and the trial can be used once per customer.

What a household really pays: cost per protected adult

Cyberpresso data: we divided each plan's yearly cost by the adults it covers, using Aura's printed rates on 19 October 2026.

Household Cheapest Aura setup, annual Cost per adult a year Same setup, monthly billing
1 adult Individual $144 $180
2 adults, no kids Couple $132 $348 for the couple
2 adults with kids Family $192 $600 for the household
3 adults Family $128 $600 for the household
5 adults Family $76.80 $600 for the household

Two results stand out. First, Couple plus Kids costs exactly the same as Family on annual billing, $384 a year, so a two-parent household should take Family: it adds child identity protection, three spare adult places and $5M of insurance instead of $2M at no extra cost.

Second, monthly billing reverses that. Couple plus Kids comes to $42 a month, below Family's monthly rate, so a monthly payer saves $96 a year by splitting the purchase, but gives up child identity protection and the larger insurance cap. For most families the better move is to pay annually and take Family.

What costs extra

Scam Protection is an add-on: spam call blocking, email protection and cyber insurance for eligible cybercrime losses up to $50K. The pricing page does not print its price and asks trial users to add it by phone. Every plan card now says it comes with spam call protection, and Family lists AI spam call and message protection, so check whether the add-on duplicates what your plan already has before paying for it.

Households with more than five adults and organizations buying for employees or breach victims get quotes by phone. Aura sells one- and two-year memberships per person to businesses, with volume discounts above 10 memberships.

How Aura's prices compare

The cleanest comparison is monthly billing, because LifeLock's individual plans on its products page and Identity Guard's both print a monthly rate, and Aura's monthly Individual price is $15.

Plan, one adult Monthly billing Annual billing as printed Credit bureaus monitored
Aura Individual $15/mo $12/mo 3
LifeLock Core $12.49/mo Not compared here 2
LifeLock Advanced $19.99/mo Not compared here 3
Identity Guard Value $8.99/mo $90 first year, renews at $107.88 Not compared here
Identity Guard Total $19.99/mo $200.04 first year, renews at $239.88 Not compared here

Aura sits between LifeLock Core and Advanced on monthly price while monitoring all three bureaus, the coverage LifeLock reserves for Advanced. LifeLock's products page shows Core at $12.49 a month renewing at the same rate, and Identity Guard's plans page prints both a first-year price and a renewal price for each annual plan, which Aura's page does not. Our Aura vs LifeLock comparison works through those two in detail.

For parental controls alone, the Bark pricing page lists the Bark App from $14 a month with a 7-day trial, without stating the billing period on that card. Aura Kids is $13 on monthly billing and adds Aura's gaming chat alerts, while Bark's app focuses on text, app and social media monitoring.

Is Aura worth the price in 2026?

Aura is worth it for households with three or more adults on annual billing, where Family brings the cost under $130 a year per adult with 3-bureau monitoring, device security and $5M of insurance. It is fair value for a single adult who would otherwise buy antivirus, a VPN and a password manager separately, since Individual bundles all three; our Norton pricing guide prices the closest bundle rival.

It is poor value on monthly billing, especially for Family, and for anyone who only wants credit monitoring: Identity Guard's Value plan is cheaper per month if bundled security tools are not needed. Our Aura review covers how well the features work, the LifeLock review covers the main rival, and the identity theft protection ranking sets both against the wider field. If the password manager is what you are really paying for, compare it with standalone options such as Bitwarden, 1Password and Dashlane first.
