DeleteMe Review 2026: Data Removal Pricing, Pros and Cons
Plan prices for one, two and four people, which data brokers the standard plan covers, and the refund rule, read on DeleteMe's own pages in October 2026.
DeleteMe is worth it for a US household that wants people, not only scripts, filing opt-outs, but it is not the cheapest data removal service. One person costs $129 a year billed annually, two people $229 and a family of four $329, and two-year terms cost less per year. Prices were read on DeleteMe's pricing page on October 19, 2026.
The catch is coverage. Of the 969 data brokers DeleteMe lists, its own markings put 91 on the plan sold to consumers, with 562 more available only as custom requests. Incogni's Standard plan costs less per year and Optery's entry plan far less, so buy DeleteMe for the managed service, not for the lowest price.

DeleteMe is the oldest name in paid data removal, and its pricing page asks for more than most rivals. This review checks whether the extra money buys something, using only what DeleteMe and its competitors publish. Cyberpresso does not test products hands-on, so nothing here describes our own account.
Two questions decide the purchase. The first is how many people you need to cover, because DeleteMe's price per person falls sharply on the couple and family plans. The second is whether you will use custom requests, because most of the sites DeleteMe lists are handled only when you ask. A buyer who will not file requests gets the smaller automatic list, and should price it against rivals on that basis.
What is DeleteMe?
DeleteMe is a subscription service from Abine, Inc. that removes personal information from data broker and people-search websites and re-checks for re-listing, according to the company's own description. Its staff search for your details, file opt-outs and send a privacy report: the how-it-works page promises a detailed report within 7 days, and the pricing page lists quarterly privacy reports after that.
Every plan covers unlimited aliases, previous names and email addresses, adds email and phone masking, and includes email, chat and phone support with a personal DeleteMe expert. DeleteMe says new opt-outs are added through the year at no extra cost. Consumer plans are sold to US residents only, and business plans are quoted by sales.
How DeleteMe works
You submit your details, DeleteMe's experts search the brokers on its list, removals start, and scans and deletions repeat through the year. The first report is the moment that matters for your money, because the refund rule turns on it. DeleteMe's terms give a full refund if you cancel before the first privacy report and a prorated refund for the time left after it.
Plans renew automatically at the end of each term unless cancelled, and the pricing page bills the same amount at renewal when no coupon is applied. Cancelling takes an email or a phone call, per the terms of service. If you are unsure, decide within the first week: after the first report arrives, a full refund is off the table.
Custom requests are where the long list lives. Most sites on the coverage page are marked as custom requests, which means you, or the expert, have to ask for them. Treat the service as part automatic, part on demand.
DeleteMe key features
DeleteMe pricing
DeleteMe charges less per person as you add people and less per year on a two-year term. One person pays $209 for a two-year term, which saves $49 against two one-year terms. Two people pay $229 a year or $349 for two years. Four people pay $329 a year or $499 for two years, and the price shown is the price billed at renewal when no coupon applies.
The family plan is the value case. On a one-year term it works out to $82.25 per person a year, and on the two-year term $62.38, by our division of the totals DeleteMe prints. A single buyer on a one-year term pays the most per person, which is where Incogni and Optery look cheapest by comparison.

Who DeleteMe is for
DeleteMe fits a US couple or family that wants named people handling opt-outs and is willing to file custom requests for the sites outside the automatic list. Four people on a two-year family plan pay the lowest per-person rate on the page, and the aliases feature helps anyone with past names or addresses.
Skip DeleteMe if you are one person on a budget and only want automatic removals. Incogni lists 420+ brokers on its cheapest annual plan for less money, and Optery's paid entry plan costs a fraction of DeleteMe's. Our Incogni review covers that trade in detail. Skip it too if you live outside the US, since consumer plans are sold to US residents only.
Data removal cuts the raw material for scams; it does not stop account takeover. Pair it with a password manager from our password manager picks and two-factor login from our authenticator guide. The bottom line
DeleteMe is worth the money for a US household of two to four people that wants experts filing removals and will ask for the sites outside the automatic list. The family plan on a two-year term is the best value on its pricing page. It is not worth it for a single buyer who wants the cheapest automatic service: Incogni Standard and Optery Core both cost less per year on annual billing.
Before you buy, decide whether you will use custom requests, since most of DeleteMe's list depends on them. Then buy the term you are sure of, because the full refund ends when the first privacy report arrives. Prices checked on DeleteMe's pricing page on October 19, 2026.
