JumpCloud Pricing 2026: Packages, A La Carte and Free Trial
JumpCloud costs $9 to $13 per user a month billed annually in 2026, $2 more monthly, and has no free tier. Package vs a la carte math at 10, 50 and 150 users.

JumpCloud costs $9 per user a month for Device Management, $11 for the SSO package and $13 for Device Identity Management, billed annually, or $2 more per user on monthly billing. Single products run $3 to $5 per user a month on an annual term. There is no free tier: new accounts get a 30-day trial of the full platform. Prices read on JumpCloud's pricing page in October 2026.
Our view up front: the three packages are cheap only if you need most of what is inside them. A team that wants SSO and MFA and nothing else pays less building that pair a la carte, while a team that wants device management plus a full identity stack outgrows every package and ends up negotiating Platform Essentials, which has no public price. Knowing which of those two buyers you are is worth more than the headline rate.
Toolradar data: Toolradar, the software directory we run, tracks 103 identity and access tools as of October 19, 2026, and 58% of them have a free plan; among the 13 priced per user, the median entry plan is $6/user/mo (identity and access statistics). JumpCloud sits above that median and outside the free majority, which is the price of bundling device management into an identity product.

Prices are per user per month in USD, exclusive of VAT, from JumpCloud's pricing page in October 2026. The page advertises "save up to 18%" on annual billing, and that ceiling is the Device Management package, which saves 18% on an annual term, while the SSO package saves 15% and Device Identity Management 13%.
Read the third row carefully. Device Identity Management sounds like the everything package, but its feature grid has no SSO, no User Lifecycle Management, no Password Management and no Directory Insights. It is a device package with a directory and MFA attached. A buyer who wants SSO into Google Workspace, Slack and the rest of the SaaS stack does not get it at the top public price.
What does each JumpCloud product cost a la carte?
Every feature is also sold on its own, per user per month, from the same page:
| Product | Annual billing | Monthly billing |
|---|---|---|
| Cloud Directory, MFA, SSO, User Lifecycle Management, Password Management, Directory Insights, Cloud LDAP, Cloud RADIUS, Conditional Access / Zero Trust, System Insights, Patch Management, Remote Access, External Identity Federation, Asset Management, SaaS License Management | $3 each | $4 each |
| MDM / Device Management | $5 | $6 |
| Passwordless Authentication (JumpCloud Go) | $5 | $6 |
| Identity Management for Devices | $4 | $4 |
| Access Requests | $5 | Same as annual |
| Premium JumpCloud Support | $2 | $3 |
The annual discount is steeper here than on the packages. Each of the fifteen products on the low rate costs a quarter less on an annual term than on a monthly one, so a buyer who commits to a year on single products saves more in percentage terms than one who commits on a package.
The package math, product by product. Rebuilt from single products on annual billing, Device Management's priced items add up to $17 per user, the SSO package's six items to $18 and Device Identity Management's to $27. Each package costs between about half and three fifths of its a la carte value, so a team that uses most of the contents should buy the package. A team that uses two items should not: MDM alone costs a little over half the Device Management package, and SSO plus MFA costs a little over half the SSO package.
How much does JumpCloud cost per year?
Cyberpresso data: we priced four common stacks at three company sizes from JumpCloud's annual rates on October 19, 2026, as monthly rate times 12 times users. The figures leave out tax, Premium Support and any negotiated discount.
| Stack (annual billing) | Per user/mo | 10 users | 50 users | 150 users |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| SSO and MFA only, a la carte | $6 | $720 | $3,600 | $10,800 |
| SSO package | $11 | $1,320 | $6,600 | $19,800 |
| Device Identity Management package | $13 | $1,560 | $7,800 | $23,400 |
| Device Identity Management plus SSO, User Lifecycle, Password Management and Directory Insights a la carte | $25 | $3,000 | $15,000 | $45,000 |
The last row is the number to carry into a sales call. It is what a company pays for device management and a complete identity stack using only public prices, and it is roughly double the top package. Platform Essentials bundles that same scope, plus passwordless, and JumpCloud sells it only through sales. A 50-person company that hears a Platform Essentials quote well below $15,000 a year is getting a better deal than self-serve; a quote above it means the a la carte route is cheaper.
Premium Support is the other line that scales with headcount. At $2 per user a month on annual billing it adds $1,200 a year at 50 users and $3,600 at 150, and it is included in Platform Prime. Standard support comes with every other package.
Is there a free version of JumpCloud?
No. JumpCloud's pricing page offers a 30-day free trial of the full platform with no feature restrictions and 24x7 Premium Support during the trial, then a paid package or product. The page lists no free tier, and every package and product starts at a per-user price, so a small team that wants to stay at $0 has to look elsewhere.
For a team of 10 or fewer that only needs MFA and SSO, that changes the comparison. Duo's Free edition covers up to 10 users at $0, and Okta Starter carries a $1,500 annual minimum, so at 10 users JumpCloud's $720 a la carte pair sits between a free option and a floor-priced one. We cover the Duo tiers in our Duo pricing breakdown and the Okta minimum in Okta pricing.
How does JumpCloud billing work?
JumpCloud's pricing FAQ answers four questions that change the real bill:
- Billing runs in arrears. Accounts are billed on the 1st of each month for the previous month, so the first invoice arrives after the first month of use.
- Suspended users still count. A suspended user stays in the directory and is billed as a normal user, so offboarding means deleting the account, not pausing it. On Device Identity Management, ten forgotten suspended accounts cost $1,560 a year.
- Card or ACH by default. JumpCloud takes Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover and ACH; invoicing is available only for accounts billing more than $2,000 a month.
- Prices exclude VAT. JumpCloud says it is not a VAT-registered entity, and the listed prices exclude VAT.
Education, nonprofit and MSP partner pricing exist and are all quoted, so a school or charity should ask before paying list. Privileged Access Management is also sold only through sales; our best privileged access management tools list prices the standalone options.
Is JumpCloud cheaper than Okta, Duo or Microsoft?
On identity alone it is not, but on identity plus devices it can be, depending on what you already run. Each competitor below was read on its own pricing page in October 2026: Okta bills annually with a contract minimum, Duo lists per-user monthly prices, and Microsoft prices Entra ID on an annual commitment and Intune as a standalone license.
| Need | JumpCloud | Okta | Cisco Duo | Microsoft |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| SSO and MFA, entry | SSO plus MFA a la carte, or the SSO package | Starter $6, $1,500 annual minimum | Free up to 10 users; Essentials $3 | Entra ID P1 $7, annual commitment |
| Device management | Device Management package or MDM alone | No MDM on its pricing page | No MDM on its pricing page | Intune Plan 1 $8 standalone |
| Identity plus devices | $25 a la carte, or a Platform Essentials quote | Needs a separate MDM | Needs a separate MDM | Entra ID P1 plus Intune Plan 1, $15 |
Duo is the cheapest route to SSO and MFA for any headcount, and Okta matches JumpCloud's a la carte pair above about 21 users, once the minimum stops binding. Microsoft's pair costs $15 per user against JumpCloud's $25 for a comparable public-price stack, but it assumes a Windows-first estate and a Microsoft 365 tenant. JumpCloud's case is a mixed fleet: one console for Windows, macOS, Linux and Android devices plus the directory that logs users into them, which matters most to a small IT team without a Microsoft-first estate. Our JumpCloud review covers where the product falls short, and the Okta review and Duo Security review do the same for the two identity rivals.
Which JumpCloud package should you buy?
Buy a la carte when you need two or three products. SSO plus MFA, or MDM plus Patch Management, costs less than any package, and you can add products later without switching plans, which suits a company still deciding how much of its stack to move.
Buy Device Management when the job is managing laptops and phones and identity lives elsewhere, for example in Google Workspace or Entra ID. It is the best-value package on the page and includes remote access and patching.
Buy the SSO package when you want a cloud directory with SSO, lifecycle automation and a password manager, but devices are handled by another tool. Compare it with Okta Starter and Duo Essentials first, because both cost less per user.
Ask for Platform Essentials when you need devices and SSO together and run fewer than 300 users, and use the $25 a la carte figure above as your walk-away price. Larger teams need Platform or Platform Prime, both quoted.

How we built this page
We read JumpCloud's pricing page, its package feature grid, a la carte list and billing FAQ, on October 19, 2026, then the pricing pages of Okta, Cisco Duo, Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft Intune the same month. The category figures come from Toolradar's identity and access statistics, computed on October 19, 2026. The annual totals are our arithmetic on published per-user prices. We did not open a JumpCloud account for this page, and quoted tiers may price differently at your headcount. We re-check the page when JumpCloud changes a package or rate. Louis Corneloup, who founded Toolradar and Dupple, edited it.
FAQ
How much does JumpCloud cost per user in 2026?
Device Management is $9, the SSO package $11 and Device Identity Management $13 per user a month on annual billing, with monthly billing $2 higher on each, as listed on JumpCloud's pricing page in October 2026. Single products cost $3 to $5 per user a month annually, and the Platform tiers are quoted.
Does JumpCloud have a free plan?
No. JumpCloud offers a 30-day free trial of the full platform, with Premium Support included during the trial, and then charges per user. A team of 10 or fewer that only needs MFA and SSO can look at Duo's Free edition instead.
Is JumpCloud cheaper billed annually or monthly?
Annually. The packages save 13% to 18% on an annual term, and most single products save 25%, since most products drop by a dollar on an annual term. Access Requests and Identity Management for Devices cost the same on both terms.
Does Device Identity Management include SSO?
No. JumpCloud's feature grid shows Device Identity Management with Cloud Directory, MFA, device management and Identity Management for Devices, but without SSO, User Lifecycle Management, Password Management or Directory Insights. Adding those four a la carte brings the stack to $25 per user a month on annual billing.
Do suspended users count toward the JumpCloud bill?
Yes. JumpCloud's billing FAQ says suspended users stay in the system and are billed as normal users. Delete accounts you no longer need rather than suspending them, or they keep costing the full per-user rate every month.
Is JumpCloud cheaper than Okta?
For SSO and MFA alone, JumpCloud's a la carte pair costs the same per user as Okta Starter, and Okta's $1,500 annual minimum makes it dearer for teams under about 21 users. Okta's pricing page lists no MDM, so a company that needs both pays for a second tool on top of Okta.
