LastPass Pricing 2026: Premium, Families, Teams, Business

LastPass pricing in 2026: Premium $3, Families $4, Plus $7 a month; Teams $4.25, Business $7 and Business Max $11 per user a month, all billed yearly in USD.

LastPass Pricing 2026: Premium, Families, Teams, Business

LastPass costs $3 a month for Premium, $4 for Families and $7 for Plus, and businesses pay $4.25 per user a month on Teams, $7 on Business and $11 on Business Max, all billed yearly in US dollars, per LastPass's pricing page read on 18 October 2026. A free plan exists but is limited to one device type, and taxes are added at checkout.

Every LastPass price is an annual charge shown as a monthly figure, so the number on the card is a twelfth of what leaves the account on day one. Premium is charged as a single yearly payment, and a 50-person team on Business commits $4,200 up front. This page sets out what each tier adds, what it costs at real team sizes, and where Bitwarden or 1Password undercut it. The LastPass review covers security and product fit; this page covers the bill.

Toolradar data: in Toolradar's October 2026 snapshot, LastPass's entry paid plan ranks #9 of 15 on price among password managers with a verified entry price, against a peer median of $2.99 a month, per its Toolradar profile. Toolradar, the software directory we run, also finds LastPass listed as an alternative to 24 other tools, joint #2 of 37 in the category. Put plainly, LastPass is one of the most cross-shopped password managers but sits in the middle on personal price.

What does each LastPass plan cost?

LastPass sells three personal plans and three business plans, and its pricing page lists every one of them on annual billing only. The table shows the monthly figure the page prints and the yearly charge it represents.

Plan Who it covers Per month, billed yearly Charged per year
Free 1 user, one device type (computer or mobile) $0 $0
Premium 1 user, all devices $3 $36
Families Up to 6 users, each with a Premium account $4 $48
Plus 1 user, Premium plus LastPass VPN $7 $84
Teams Up to 50 users $4.25 per user $51 per user
Business Unlimited users $7 per user $84 per user
Business Max Unlimited users $11 per user $132 per user

Prices were read on LastPass's pricing page on 18 October 2026, before tax. The page notes that promotional pricing, when shown, has separate terms and may not apply to current customers, so renewals follow the list rates above.

What do the personal plans include?

The free plan's catch is the device rule. LastPass limits it to one device type, where a device type is either computers (any browser on a desktop or laptop) or mobile (phones, tablets and watches). Someone who saves passwords on a laptop and logs in on a phone needs Premium, which is why most people who start free end up paying.

Premium adds access on all devices, 1 GB of encrypted file storage, passkeys, dark web monitoring and a security dashboard. Families is the better deal for any household of two or more: $48 a year buys six separate, independently encrypted Premium vaults, which works out to $8 a person if all six seats are used.

Plus bundles Premium with LastPass VPN, which runs in a separate app on up to 10 devices. The pricing page says the VPN is Windows only for now, with macOS, iOS and Android support listed as coming soon. Mac and phone users would pay more than twice the Premium price for a VPN they cannot run yet, so Plus only makes sense for a Windows household that wants one bill.

What do the business plans add?

Teams is the budget tier, capped at 50 users. It covers the admin console, shared folders, 25 security policies, basic reporting and the standard multifactor options, including FIDO2 passwordless login and hardware keys. It leaves out groups, directory integrations, SIEM feeds and single sign-on, which is the line where IT teams usually outgrow it.

Business, at $2.75 more per user a month, is the tier most companies land on. It adds 100+ security policies, advanced reporting, group management, directory integrations with Microsoft Entra ID, Google Workspace, Okta and OneLogin, SIEM integrations with Splunk and Microsoft Sentinel, and single sign-on for up to three apps. Each employee also gets a free LastPass Families account with five extra licenses for relatives, so the vault habit reaches the personal accounts staff log in to from the same devices.

Business Max adds three monitoring products and deeper access control. AI Monitoring & Protect finds unsanctioned AI tools and warns staff before they paste credentials or API keys into one; SaaS and Web Monitoring & Protect do the same for apps and websites, including malicious site blocking. It also lifts the SSO cap to unlimited apps and adds MFA for workstations, VPNs and identity providers. Buy it if you would otherwise license a separate shadow-IT or SSO tool; skip it if you only need a vault.

What does LastPass cost for your team?

The table below multiplies LastPass's list rates by common team sizes. Each figure is our arithmetic on the published per-user price, billed yearly, before tax. Teams stops at 50 users, so larger teams start at Business.

Users Teams, per year Business, per year Business Max, per year
10 $510 $840 $1,320
25 $1,275 $2,100 $3,300
50 $2,550 $4,200 $6,600
100 Not available $8,400 $13,200

Two things follow. A team of 10 that wants directory sync or SSO pays $330 a year more on Business than on Teams, which is cheap compared with the admin time of provisioning by hand. And the step to Business Max costs $4,800 a year at 100 users, so it competes with buying a dedicated SSO or SaaS-discovery tool rather than with another password manager.

How does LastPass compare with Bitwarden and 1Password?

LastPass is mid-priced for individuals and families, and Bitwarden undercuts it at every tier we priced. Here are the annual costs read on each vendor's own pricing page on 18 October 2026:

Scenario LastPass Bitwarden 1Password
One person, all devices $36 (Premium) $19.80 (Premium) $3.99 a month regular rate, billed yearly (Individual)
A family $48 for 6 users (Families) $47.88 for 6 users (Families) $5.99 a month regular rate, billed yearly (Families)
25-person company, entry business tier $1,275 (Teams) $1,200 (Teams, $4 per user a month) See our 1Password pricing breakdown

Sources: Bitwarden's pricing page and 1Password's pricing page. 1Password currently runs a first-year promotion for new customers, so the regular rate is the one to budget for year two.

The gaps are small at family scale and wider for one person. Bitwarden Premium costs a little over half of LastPass Premium, and Bitwarden Families is 12 cents a year cheaper than LastPass Families for the same six seats. At 25 users, LastPass Teams costs $75 a year more than Bitwarden Teams. Our Bitwarden pricing guide, Keeper pricing guide and the password manager pricing index compare the full field, and 1Password vs LastPass covers the head-to-head on features.

Hidden costs and gotchas

  • Annual payment only. The pricing page lists every plan billed yearly, so the first charge is twelve months of the monthly figure.
  • Free means one device type. A computer-plus-phone user cannot stay on the free plan.
  • Teams caps at 50 users. Crossing that line moves every seat to Business, a jump of $2.75 per user a month.
  • SSO stops at three apps on Business. Unlimited SSO is a Business Max feature, not an add-on line on the pricing page.
  • Plus's VPN is Windows only until LastPass ships the other platforms it lists as coming soon.
  • Taxes are extra and applied at checkout.

How we priced this

We read LastPass's pricing page on 18 October 2026, including the plan cards, the business and personal comparison tables and the footnotes, with prices shown in US dollars. Rival prices come from Bitwarden's and 1Password's own pricing pages, read the same day. Every total is our arithmetic on list rates before tax, with prices as of Oct 2026. Cyberpresso runs no test lab and holds no LastPass contract, so no figure here is a negotiated quote.

FAQ

How much does LastPass cost per year?

LastPass Premium costs $36 a year, Families $48 a year for up to six users and Plus $84 a year, per LastPass's pricing page read on 18 October 2026. Business plans cost $51 per user a year on Teams, $84 on Business and $132 on Business Max. Every plan is billed yearly in US dollars before tax.

Is LastPass free?

Yes, with a limit. The free plan stores unlimited passwords with autofill, dark web monitoring and basic sharing, but works on only one device type, either computers or mobile. Premium removes that limit, and LastPass offers a 30-day Premium trial with no credit card.

Is LastPass Families worth it?

For two or more people, yes. Families costs only a third more than a single Premium account and covers six separate Premium vaults, so a couple already pays less per person than on two Premium plans. Bitwarden Families covers the same six users for almost the same price.

What is the difference between LastPass Teams and Business?

Teams costs $4.25 per user a month and is capped at 50 users, with 25 security policies and basic reporting. Business costs $2.75 more per user a month with no user cap, and adds 100+ policies, directory integrations, SIEM feeds, SSO for three apps and a free Families account for each employee.

Is LastPass cheaper than Bitwarden?

No. Bitwarden Premium costs $19.80 a year against $36 for LastPass Premium, and Bitwarden Teams costs $4 per user a month against $4.25 for LastPass Teams. Families plans are almost level, with both covering six users for nearly the same yearly price.

Can I pay for LastPass monthly?

Not on the pricing page. Every LastPass plan there is billed yearly, with the monthly figure shown only to compare plans. Business trials last 14 days and personal trials 30 days before the annual charge applies.
