ESET Pricing 2026: Essential, Premium and Ultimate Plans
ESET Home Security costs $49.99 a year for 1 device on Essential and $79.99 on Premium in 2026. Device counts, cost per device, two-year terms and business plans.

ESET Home Security costs $49.99 a year for one device on Essential, $79.99 on Premium and $179.99 for five devices on Ultimate in 2026, before sales tax. Covering three devices costs $59.99 on Essential and $89.99 on Premium, and a two-year term takes 15% off those two plans. NOD32 Antivirus, the single-device basic option, is $39.99 a year. Prices read in ESET's US store on 19 October 2026.
Every figure here comes from ESET's US home security page and the prices its US online store shows in the cart for each device count, read on 19 October 2026. Our view: ESET's list prices are honest about one thing most rivals blur, which is that the per-device price falls steeply as you add devices. A household that counts its laptops, phones and tablets before buying can cut its cost per device by more than half.
Toolradar data: ESET is listed as an alternative to 13 other tools on its Toolradar profile as of October 2026, against a median of 2 in its comparison group, and its entry plan ranks 1st of 10 for price among the tools in that group with a verified entry price. In plain terms, buyers cross-shop ESET often, and its cheapest plan is among the lowest-priced ways into paid protection on Toolradar.
ESET home plans at a glance
| Plan | 1 device | 3 devices | 5 devices | 10 devices | Main additions |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| NOD32 Antivirus | $39.99 | Not sold in the home bundle | Not sold in the home bundle | Not sold in the home bundle | Antivirus for Windows and macOS only |
| Home Security Essential | $49.99 | $59.99 | $69.99 | $94.99 | Antivirus, safe banking and browsing, anti-phishing, Wi-Fi protection |
| Home Security Premium | $79.99 | $89.99 | $99.99 | $124.99 | Adds unlimited VPN traffic and file encryption |
| Home Security Ultimate | Starts at 5 devices | Starts at 5 devices | $179.99 | $204.99 | Adds VPN for Router, identity protection and ransomware remediation |
Prices are for a one-year subscription, excluding sales tax, as shown in ESET's US store cart on 19 October 2026. Every Home Security plan covers PCs, Macs, smartphones and tablets from one subscription, though ESET notes that some features differ by operating system.
The plan names map to three kinds of buyer. Essential is the antivirus-plus-browser-protection tier for people who already pay for a VPN or need none. Premium adds a VPN with unlimited traffic and file encryption, which is where most households should start if they use public Wi-Fi. Ultimate is the identity-protection bundle: dark web scanning, credit monitoring from one bureau, Social Security number tracking, lost wallet assistance and identity recovery backed by $1 million of insurance, plus a VPN for your home router.
What ESET costs per device
The per-device figures below are our arithmetic: the one-year cart price divided by the number of devices it covers. For a single device, the per-device price equals the list price in the table above.
| Plan | 3 devices | 5 devices | 10 devices |
|---|---|---|---|
| Essential, per device per year | $20.00 | $14.00 | $9.50 |
| Premium, per device per year | $30.00 | $20.00 | $12.50 |
| Ultimate, per device per year | Not sold | $36.00 | $20.50 |
The second and third devices cost very little. Going from one device to three on Essential adds $10 a year; on Premium it also adds $10. That makes the single-device plan the worst value in ESET's range, unless you truly protect one computer. Even then, NOD32 Antivirus covers one Windows or Mac computer for $10 less than one-device Essential; it is the antivirus-only product, while Essential adds the banking, browsing and phishing protection.
Ultimate looks expensive at five devices, but the jump from five to ten devices costs only $25 a year. A family with ten devices pays about $20.50 per device on Ultimate, about the same as Premium at five devices. If you need identity protection and own many devices, Ultimate's per-device price is the most competitive point in the whole range.
Is ESET Premium worth it over Essential?
Premium costs $30 a year more than Essential for three devices. What that buys is the VPN with unlimited traffic and file encryption. ESET's own page sets the VPN limit at 3 devices on a Premium plan of up to 10 devices, and 5 on larger plans, with servers in up to 40 countries.
For a household that would otherwise pay for a separate VPN, that $30 replaces a second subscription. For a household that never uses public Wi-Fi and has no use for encrypted file vaults, Essential covers the security basics. The decision rule: if anyone in the house works from cafés, airports or hotels, take Premium.
Note the VPN limit carefully. A Premium plan for 10 devices still covers only 3 of them with the VPN, so a family of five with phones and laptops will need to pick which devices get it. Ultimate raises the VPN allowance to 10 devices on plans of up to 10, and 25 on larger plans, across about 70 countries.
Is ESET Ultimate worth the price?
Ultimate's case rests on identity protection. Compared with Premium for five devices, Ultimate costs $80 more a year and adds dark web scanning, single-bureau credit report monitoring, social media identity monitoring, SSN tracking, lost wallet assistance and US-based identity recovery with $1 million of insurance, along with VPN for Router and ransomware remediation.
That is a reasonable price for bundled identity monitoring, but check two things first. Credit monitoring covers one bureau, not all three, so it will not catch an account opened on a report it does not watch. And if your bank, card issuer or employer already provides identity monitoring, you may be paying twice. Our Norton pricing and McAfee pricing pages price the rival identity bundles, and Bitdefender pricing covers another device-count ladder.
One year or two?
ESET's store offers a two-year term with 15% off on Essential and Premium. Three devices on Essential cost $101.98 for two years instead of $119.98 at the one-year rate, and Premium for three devices costs $152.98 instead of $179.98. By our arithmetic, that saves $18 and $27 over the two years.
Ultimate showed no multi-year discount in the cart on 19 October 2026: two years for five devices cost $359.98, exactly twice the one-year price. For Ultimate, buy one year at a time and keep the flexibility to switch.
Every subscription is set to auto-renew in the cart. Before the renewal date, check the price your ESET HOME account shows for the next term, and turn off auto-renewal if you plan to change plans or vendors.
ESET for small offices and businesses
Above the home plans, ESET sells an office bundle and a managed business line, both priced on the same US page.
| Product | Price, one year | Devices | Who it is for |
|---|---|---|---|
| ESET Small Business Security | $179.99 | 5 devices (5 to 25 supported) | Offices with no IT staff, managed through ESET HOME |
| ESET PROTECT Core | $549 | 10 devices | Businesses with an admin console for endpoints and servers |
| ESET PROTECT Core with email protection | $713 | 10 devices | Adds Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace protection |
| ESET PROTECT Premium | $1,030 | 10 devices | The next PROTECT tier, which ESET marks as recommended |
| ESET PROTECT Premium with email protection | $1,590 | 10 devices | Adds the email and collaboration layer |

Small Business Security is the home-style product stretched to an office: antivirus, server and email protection, web control, anti-theft, unlimited VPN traffic, VPN for Router and ransomware remediation, all managed from ESET HOME rather than a business console. For five devices it costs the same as Ultimate for five, so a small office should choose it over Ultimate for the server and email protection, not for the price.
ESET PROTECT is the managed business line. By our arithmetic, Core works out to $54.90 per device a year at 10 devices, and Premium to $103. ESET also shows an introductory offer on PROTECT Ultimate at $9,999 for 99 devices, a different buyer from anyone reading the rest of this page. Our ESET review covers the business product in depth, and the best antivirus for business ranking and Microsoft Defender for Business pricing page set it against the alternatives.
Which ESET plan should I buy?
- NOD32 Antivirus if you protect a single Windows or Mac computer and want the lowest price, at $39.99 a year.
- Essential for 3 or 5 devices if your household needs antivirus and phishing protection but already has a VPN or does not need one.
- Premium for 3 or 5 devices if anyone uses public Wi-Fi, since the VPN alone justifies the gap over Essential. Remember the VPN covers 3 devices on plans up to 10.
- Ultimate for 10 devices if you want identity monitoring and own many devices; at that size its per-device price matches Premium at five.
- Small Business Security if you run a small office with a server or shared email and no IT person.

How we built this page
We read ESET's US home security page and the prices ESET's US online store shows in the cart for each plan, device count and term on 19 October 2026, along with the small business and ESET PROTECT prices on the same page. Per-device figures and two-year savings are our arithmetic on those list prices, excluding sales tax, and are not quotes. We did not install ESET for this page. The Toolradar figures come from ESET's Toolradar profile as of October 2026. We re-check the page when ESET changes a plan, a device tier or a price.
